Botanicals
For as long as I can remember I have observed nature. I watched as my mother hauled in soil, rocks, and plants to create her beautiful garden. I saw her tend the plants, divide and share them, cut and arrange them, etc. It was an everyday activity in our home.
Venturing out we walked through wooded fields and sand bars along the Mississippi River. Collections were made of lichen encrusted sticks, smooth stones and interesting pieces of drift wood…treasures! I love these things. It is no wonder that I like to paint them.
